The fine print

How this works

List Fight is a public scoreboard. You create a list, share the link, and people pay to move rank. You are not winning a prize. A completed payment is what counts. Failed payments do nothing.

Two kinds of list

  • Poll. Creator sets a flat vote price (default $3). Ranking is most votes, not most dollars. Polls require an end time.
  • Fight. Variable bid amounts, $3 minimum, whole dollars. Most money wins. Open-ended, or with an end time. Equal totals keep older items above newer ones.

Creating and publishing

  • Creating a list is free. You get a shareable URL immediately.
  • The list stays off the public homepage until the first confirmed paid vote. Anyone with the link can vote before that.
  • Each list gets one topic — Sports, Food, Entertainment, Places, Animals, or Other — so people can browse instead of scrolling forever.
  • Up to 50 items at list creation. Make it complete on day one.
  • Missed an item? Anyone can add one later for $5. On a fight, that $5 is a seed bid. On a poll, it joins the board; rank is still votes.
  • A list can grow to 1,000 items. After that, the set is closed.
  • Bids, votes, and add-item fees are not refundable. You’re paying to move the board, not buying a prize.

Creator payout

  • Leave proceeds with the platform. No extra forms. Vote and add-item money stays with List Fight. This is not a donation and not charity.
  • Get paid. Stripe Connect Express, Stripe-hosted onboarding only. List Fight never collects SSN or bank details.
  • On Get paid lists, charges use destination charges. Stripe’s processing fee is estimated at 2.9% + $0.30 and comes out first. Of the remainder, the creator receives ~80% and the platform keeps ~20%. Stripe’s actual fee is taken from the platform share. Example: a $3 vote → Stripe ~$0.39, remainder $2.61, creator ~$2.09, platform ~$0.52.
  • Staging uses Stripe TEST mode. Production accepts live keys. Until live keys are set on listfight.com, charges there are still TEST.

Content policy

Do not create lists or items that include:

  • Hate, slurs, or targeted harassment
  • Illegal activity, scams, or fraud
  • Sexual content, especially anything involving minors — zero tolerance
  • Doxxing, private addresses, or calls to harm people
  • Spam, malware, or payment-processor banned categories

New lists are scanned. Obvious violations are blocked. Borderline lists can be held for human review. Anyone can report a list. Admins can hide, lock, or remove lists and items.
