How ranking works

Fixed-price and Free lists rank by number of votes. Pay What You Want lists rank by total money.

If two items are tied, the older item stays above the newer one. On a fixed-price or Free list that means equal votes. On Pay What You Want that means equal money.

If a creator sets Votes Per Person, each fan can vote up to that many times on that list from one device.

Creating and publishing

• Creating a list is free. You email a code, open Creator Panel, and create from there. You get a shareable URL when the list is created.
• The list stays off the public homepage until the first confirmed paid vote. Free Lists stay off the homepage. Anyone with the link can still vote.
• Each list gets one topic — Sports, Food, Entertainment, Places, Animals, Gaming, Tech, Politics, People, Movies & TV, Music, or Other — so people can browse instead of scrolling forever.
• Up to 50 items can be added at list creation.
• Missed an item on the list? If the creator allows, anyone can add items later. It costs the same as one vote, or the minimum on Pay What You Want lists. It joins the board with that first vote already on it.
• On a Free List, adds are free when the creator allows them.
• A list can grow to 1,000 items. After that, the set is closed.
• Votes and add-item fees are not refundable. You're paying to move the board, not buying a prize.
• A completed payment is what counts. Failed payments do nothing.
• If Stripe refunds a charge or a dispute is opened, that vote comes off the board so rank matches money that stuck. You are still not owed a refund.

Creator payout

You have two options.

• First, you can skip Get Paid. That’s fine if the money is small or you don’t want Stripe tax forms. Vote and add-item money then stays with List Fight. It isn’t a donation or charity, but we appreciate it.
• Second, you can use Get Paid. It opens Stripe Connect Express on Stripe-hosted pages only. List Fight never collects SSN or bank details. Get Paid payouts are US-only for now. Due to real-time payment processing and revenue split, money collected before you enable Get Paid stays with the platform. Only vote and add-item money charged after payouts are live goes to the creator. There is no backpay. After an estimated Stripe fee, about 80% of what’s left goes to the creator and about 20% stays with List Fight. Stripe’s actual fee is paid from the platform share. Example: a $3 vote → Stripe estimate ~$0.39, leaving $2.61 → creator ~$2.09, platform ~$0.52.

Free Lists don't take payments, so Get Paid doesn't apply.

Content policy

Do not create lists or items that include:

• Hate, slurs, or targeted harassment
• Illegal activity, scams, or fraud
• Sexual content, especially anything involving minors — zero tolerance
• Doxxing, private addresses, or calls to harm people
• Spam, malware, or payment-processor banned categories

New lists are scanned. Obvious violations are blocked. Borderline lists can be held for human review. Anyone can report a list. Admins can hide, lock, or remove lists and items.
