Basics
What is List Fight?
List Fight is a share-link scoreboard. You create a list, share the URL, and people vote to move the rank.
How does ranking work?
Fixed-price and Free lists rank by number of votes. Pay What You Want lists rank by total money.
How do ties work?
If two items are tied, the older item stays above the newer one. On a fixed-price or Free list that means equal votes. On Pay What You Want that means equal money.
Playing
Why do votes cost money?
Paid votes make spam and bots expensive, and they support the creator. The default is $3 a vote. Creators can set it anywhere from $1 to $100. Some creators make their list free, and some turn on First Vote Free so each fan's first vote costs nothing.
Can I vote for free?
Yes, on a Free List. On a fixed-price list, your first vote is free if the creator turned on First Vote Free, and the button says Vote Free until you use it. Pay What You Want lists don't have a free vote.
Does voting need an account?
No. You don't need an account to vote. Anyone with the public share link can vote.
Is there a limit on how many times I can vote?
Only if the creator set one. The line under the list title says so, like "Up to 5 votes each." The limit counts per device.
Hosting
How do I create a list?
Tap Create List. If you’re signed out, you’ll go to Creator Panel and Email a Code. Once you’re in, create from your panel. You’ll land on the new list. Creating is free.
Does it cost money to create a list?
No. Creating a list is free. You create it from Creator Panel after you email a code. If the creator allows it, anyone can add a missed item later. On a paid list, that add costs the same as one vote, or the minimum on Pay What You Want lists. It joins the board with that first vote already on it. On a Free List, adds are free when the creator allows them.
Do I need an account to create a list?
Yes. Tap Create List, then Email a Code. Enter the one-time code we send, and you’ll open Creator Panel so you can create lists from there. Creating is still free.
When does my list show up on the homepage?
The list stays off the public homepage until the first confirmed paid vote. Free Lists stay off the homepage.
Payouts & panel
Can list creators keep some of the money?
On paid lists, yes. Creating a list is always free. If you want cash from the board, use Get Paid. If you don’t set that up, the money stays with the platform. Fee split, no-backpay, and Stripe details are in Rules under Creator payout.
How does Get Paid work?
When you tap Get Paid on a list, you get Set Up Payouts. You confirm you have a US bank account and you go through the Stripe Express onboarding process to link your account.
I already set up payouts. Do I do Stripe again on every list?
No. On later lists, choose Use The Payouts I Already Set Up to reuse the same Stripe Express account. It’s best to keep one payout profile.
Can I get paid outside the US?
Not yet. You can still create lists and take votes from cards worldwide. Free Lists don't take payments, so Get Paid doesn't apply.
What is Creator Panel?
Creator Panel is where you create and manage your lists after you verify your email. Open it from Create List (if you’re signed out, Email a Code first) or from the footer link Creator Panel.
Lock & closed
How do I lock a list?
Tap Lock List to pause new votes. Unlock works the same way. You need creator access on that list.
What's Locked vs Time's up?
Locked means you paused the board yourself. Time's up means the end time hit and the board closed on its own.
Codes
Why didn’t my email code work?
Use the newest code we sent. Each new code replaces the last one, and codes expire after 20 minutes. Delivery can take a few minutes, so wait a bit before asking for another.
